Description
"The Old Farm" is an old dairy farm situated about four miles from where I live. Over the years I have passed this farm numerous times and have a number of photographs of the place on FAA. It is one of those places that just catches your eye and you have to preserve it in some manner.
I decided to do a WIP of this painting for some of my artist friends on Facebook and used one of the photographs I had taken previously as reference. In the reference photograph, vines growing up the silos, as well as bushes and trees, tend to detract from the scene. I took a little artistic license and painted the barn as it would appear if the landscape were less overgrown. This image is the result of that effort and is being offered as prints.
